The B-type medical oxygen cylinder has approximately 10 litres of internal water capacity and stores medical oxygen under high pressure.
A cylinder filled to approximately 150 bar may contain about 1,500 litres of oxygen at atmospheric pressure before allowing for the required reserve and operating losses. The actual quantity available at delivery depends on the cylinder’s stamped capacity and measured gauge pressure.
Use oxygen only at the flow rate and duration prescribed by the treating clinician. Sanjeevia records the cylinder’s water capacity, working pressure, fill pressure, test status and regulator compatibility before delivery.
